For those wondering, Lammas marks the middle of summer. Technically August 1st, it celebrates the first day of the harvest. In medieval times, tenants were bound to bring freshly harvested wheat to their lords on Lammas day to commemorate this event.
Of course, as some of you may know, Lammas also has another meaning. It's a pagan holiday which represents sacrifice and rebirth.
